I want to use a wind generator type of thing and have the car battery be the storage cell. How would I wire this to power a few lights or appliances?

Most or even all of the new great mpg cars look horrible and weird. do the manufacturers realize that they could get alot more buyers if they make the car look cool? this is a question and proposal… for cool looking high mpg cars.. also maybe this has something to do with oil/gas companies paying car manufacturers to make weird cars??
